Jan Aadhar Card Scheme was envisioned and announced by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan in the Revised Budget 2019-20 with the objective of "One Number, One Card, One Identity" for the residents of Rajasthan State, which is the largest geographical state. The country has its own unique challenges in providing government services to residents living in remote areas. Hence there is a need for a robust electronic mode of service delivery to remove the hassles of physical delivery so that the benefits of public welfare can be passed on to the residents in a transparent and leakage-proof manner. The Jan Aadhaar scheme serves this objective and integrates the entire service delivery ecosystem of the state with a single-card, single-number, single-identity philosophy.
